Bio:

My practice has been focused on what is happening now, around us, in the real world today. I am searching for the deep emotional understanding in our society, including pleasure, happiness, anger, grief and loneliness. My paintings are attempting to touch these feelings in the popular culture.

My inspiration comes from everyday life, from corner on my street to the most recent protests happening in UK and around the world. More and more ordinary people are starting to demand fairness, equality and improvement in quality of their life within their neighborhood and country.

I have collected images from all different sources, such as newspapers and magazines, to get a better understanding and closely exam social behavior. My most recent paintings explore anger by using expressive abstract form of animal like figure and build relationship between individuals and how they are represented in the mass audience. Each painting turns out different. Each painting has a personality of its own. Each painting demands a close look to exam the flow of brushstrokes, the drip of colors and the energy of the expressive form. It captures wave of energy of the people.

What are capacities of painting? How can I use painting as a vehicle to communicate and connect to the viewer? I will continue to closely exam and search for these answers. I want to experience life, openness, and the moment in life and to understand our society better.
