Collabortations with Anais Lalange

By Hattie Prust
27 Jul 2010

I am currently collaborating with a physical theatre artist named Anais Lalange to produce a performance. It is centred on her back and is a development from her earlier piece 'Truly' where she talked about love.

I am enjoying the challenge of merging projection with her body, currently I am working on creating her back. Above is the first attempt of creating her. Once we have found a design both of us are happy with we are thinking of making the impermanence of projection more permanent by drawing it onto her during the performance.

I have only just become aquainted with London's Artist Quarter, as I have been in Newcastle for the last four years, doing my Fine Art Degree at the University, and now I'm finally moving back to London, and I am immersing myself amongst as much art as I can, finding a studio involves a lot of paperwork... turns out the recessions crushing of one business opens up tonnes of space (and incredibly good value space at that) for artists; read from the horses mouth (T.A.N.)...

Let me introduce myself:

Peru - our first international collaboration!

21 Apr 2012

One of the most wonderful aspects of my "day job" working as a freelance journalist now mostly in the wonderful world of fashion and textiles is that I get invited to go out to farflung places to see their fashion weeks and textile trade fairs.  This year after all the razzmatazz of Lima International Fashion Fair and Perumoda are over, I am taking time to do some travel around a little bit of Peru.  Peru is HUGE second only in size to Brazil I believe.  I (E) have just bought some rather nice new notebooks and dug up some old film to put in my trusty Holga camera,
