I am currently working on a series of posters/postcards or cards. -

A series of posters or cards or postcards which have a birth and death date on them. 1988-2006 say. With a persons name above or below it or next to it.

The names will be of people who are either still alive or people who died a very long time ago but I would say they died alot more recently. So I could use picasso who died in 1973 but say he died last year instead on these posters.

I could also make up a person and they’re dates . These would be a mix of dates from important times or events that have happened in the past. So there is a Jewish festival in Krakow and I could use the date of this as the birth date of the person or the death date.

The dates and names on each card/poster will be made up of a mix of dates and names from different times and places. So the birth date will be from one place, the death date will be from a person who was born a while ago for instance and the name could be he name of a famous for a particular reason place. I don’t know ho each thing will be done yet, these are just thebasic ideas-like a basic formular.

There was a bench in Finsbury Park where someone had a plque on it for some one who had died. They had the same birthday as me 11/11 but it was 1970 instead of 1988. So I would use that for instance as 11/11 is rememberance day and then i could use my name but say I died last year....?

I would like to use rothko as one but say he was born or died last week or last month instaed of when he did. Bringing something back to peoples minds in a different way. How do you look at something when it is gone, how does your perspective change, even if it does.

I don’t want to jinx friends or family or me or anyone by using them so im not really sure how to do it.
