A new piece of public art created by local school children from Tower Hamlets together with internationally renowned artist Emily Allchurch, was being unveiled last week at St Paul’s Way Community School, Bow. At over 110 metres long and with 114 panels, the new hoardings along St Paul’s Way in Tower Hamlets are East London’s largest piece of public art.

The spectacular art work was created by Emily from Bow Arts Trust with the help of young people from both the local secondary and primary schools; St Paul’s Way Community School, Stebon Primary, and St Paul with St Luke Primary schools.

The inspiration for the piece came from the regeneration of the area, which will see the building of a brand new secondary school, a new health centre and over 500 new homes. Emily Allchurch said: "To create this ambitious ‘masterpiece’, young people from the three local schools explored their aspirations for the area and really started to understand exactly what regeneration can mean.
