Location: London

I am Jason, an illustrator/artist working in traditional and mixed media, inspired by fashion, lifestyle and people I see in my everyday life. My work is an extension of myself. It is a visual response to how I put together in my head the things I see. I romanticise, idealise and fantasise.
I am fascinated by the human form, and in particular, the female form. It is not a seedy thing. It is an obsession with observation of that which I perceive beautiful. Beauty is in the smallest of details.
Through my imagery, I am keen to explore the effects of negative space and the way in which the viewer can complete a piece of work for their self, creating context and narrative upon each separate viewing. It is within this idea that we can interact in a different way with a piece of artwork and find ourselves engaged in a much more intimate way.
You will find me somewhere, absorbing my surroundings, seeking inspiration, deep in thought on the intricacies of life, pondering over my loves and hates, noting down as much as I am able, accompanied by coffee, with pencil behind ear or in hand. Please do not disturb me as I will become startled and flee to cover.
