Julia Mariscal

Julia Mariscal
Location: London
Julia Mariscal works in a diverse range of media to create narratives based on the fragility, the laughter and the absurdity — concepts that Julia considers to lay in between the big subjects of life and death. The special attention to the material and the signifier of the elements are subject to engagement, habit and pre-conception. To gain the presence of: past and future. Julia considers the established associations to be joyful happenings, free mechanisms. Working with installation, sculpture, drawing, photography and performance, Julia links the duration with infinity to gain intuition and, in consequence, deal with the unknown and the perception.
