“One afternoon I went to my mother’s workshop where she used to work as upholsterer and on one of the shelves, filled with soft materials, there was a pile of felt. I gently slid my hand through the sheets and enjoyed for a while the warmth and softness.”
The practice is concerned with memory, loss, recovery, distance, investigation of the self. I am currently working with soft materials (upholstery), drawing and photography. It perpetuates doing, relearning and forgetting, ultimately thinking.
