Who Wears the Trousers? Robert Crosse
Filmed in the Nunnery at Bow Arts Trust
Examining how perceptions of masculinity are defined and constructed in cinematic representations using gestures and actions. Taking inspiration from Reservoir Dogs and the 6 main protagonists, each pair of trousers will convey a different aspect of masculinity, based on cinematic archetypes of male roles.
Each character aims to determine how and where to position themselves within their constructed society. How to define their identity, once all the perceived constraints of social constructs, hierarchy, race and gender are removed.
